This story is crazy! And amazing! I actually don’t read much romance (unless you count chick-lit, but then the love story is only about 50% of the story) and I’ve never read any fantasy stuff, so Trancing The Tiger was a whole new world for me. I loved the overall vibe, which oozed passion in a dark Asian setting. I found the descriptions seductive and imaginative, and from a technical perspective, the writing was exceptional, especially considering that the author is independent.
All the characters had well defined and distinct personalities. I don’t normally go for tough heroes, but Sheng really appealed to me. And Lucy was easy to relate to as well.
I’m not sure if I’m a complete convert to the genre (I prefer quick light-hearted reads) but this book definitely kept me intrigued until the last page. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of sizzling romance in a fantasy setting.
